Sofia

Hello everybody! My name is Sofia and I am from Spain. I am a social educator and I have been working for the last two years in a centre for minors under state care in my hometown. Soon I will start volunteering in the centre ‘Slava Raskaj’, which makes me very excited and I am looking forward to coming to Zagreb. I think it is a great personal and professional opportunity for me. It will allow me to learn more about a new culture, a new language very different from my own, to make friends from other nations, and to be able to develop myself in a work context outside my country by learning new educational tools and skills. In short, this experience will force me to step out of my comfort zone, making me improve as a person and as a professional, while having the opportunity to make a significant change in the community.Finally, I love arts and crafts and consider myself a very creative person, so I believe I have a lot to contribute to the project and I hope to live up to what the participants expect from me. I also enjoy very much any original plan where I can meet interesting people, in the nature or in the city. See you soon in Zagreb!
