From March 16 to 21, we took part in an On-Arrival Training in Orahovica, and it was such a valuable experience!
We learned more about ESC volunteering, different organizations, how they work and the kinds of projects they do. We also shared what we are doing in Centar Slave Raškaj.

Some of the most interesting parts were the sessions on needs assessment, project management and communication skills. They were interactive and gave us practical ideas we can use.

We also had a session about cultural differences. Since people came from many countries, it was really interesting to learn about each other and see different perspectives.

Besides the workshops, we had lots of chances to get to know each other and to make new connections. We explored Orahovica, went swimming in the pool and enjoyed a traditional Croatian dinner together.

At the end, we made our personal learning plans, writing down what we want to achieve during our volunteering, the skills we want to gain and the projects we’d like to run.
It was really inspiring and gave us a big boost of motivation!
