What's Been Happening in April?

April has been a whirlwind of experiences and opportunities:

1. Venice

I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Venice during the school Easter holidays. It was a dream destination for me, and the city lived up to all my expectations. As a solo traveler, I met people from different countries in the hostel. The city's unique waterways and enchanting atmosphere left me in awe. And let's not forget the culinary delights – pasta, pizza, Italian cheese, and the famous spritz. The Italian escapade was truly amazing!

2. Job in France

Since early March, I've been preparing for my return to France by applying for various communication and marketing positions in Rennes, the city where I live. After several remote interviews, I landed a job as a web marketing manager at DB Hotel, a company specializing in revenue management for hotels and tourism professionals. My role involves enhancing clients' online presence through SEO, SEA, SMO, and website optimization. One condition for the job was immediate availability, so I've decided to shorten my volunteering in Zagreb. This article might be one of the last you'll read from me; I'll be back in France on May 10th.

Finalizing the ZW Project Dissemination Report:

To wrap up the Zero Waste Catering Lab project, I've been working on various summaries and documents outlining the project's impacts. It's been enlightening to gain an overview of the project as a whole.

European Youth Week:

From 12th to April 18th, European Youth Week was in full swing. I conducted a workshop on zero waste, using Kahoot quizzes to engage the students. They loved the interactive learning experience! Thursday was the highlight, with a poster-making session focusing on fashion, its environmental impact, and solutions for reducing CO2 emissions in clothing consumption.

Exploring Samobor

I also took the opportunity to explore the outskirts of Zagreb with a visit to Samobor, a charming town just 20 minutes away. It boasts stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the ruins of a castle perched atop the town.
