Catching up with Jakov

In the past month, we had different workshops at the Day Care Center. We started preparations for Christmas, through special Christmas workshops. The users of the Day Center make different decorations for the pine tree out of wood and wool, and I help them with that. Users are preparing said ornaments for the Christmas market, where the ornaments will be available for sale. I also participated in making a large wooden pine, for which we first had to cut the slats and sand them, and then paint them. That's where I helped users to get a better handle on it. We also visited the Cinematheque at the beginning of November, where we watched the animated film Mama Muu returns home. I helped users to return home, by accompanying them to public transport. I am very satisfied with the way of my volunteering and I feel useful and happy.

U proteklom mjesecu, u Dnevnom centru imali smo različite radionice. Počeli smo s pripremama za Božić, kroz prigodne božićne radionice. Korisnici Dnevnog centra izrađuju različite ukrase za bor od drveta i od vune, a ja im pomažem u tome. Navedene ukrase, korisnici pripremaju za božićni sajam, gdje će ukrasi biti dostupni za prodaju. Također, sudjelovao sam i u izrađivanju velikog drvenog bora za kojeg smo prvo morali izrezati letvice te ih izbrusiti, a potom i ofarbati. Tu sam pomagao korisnicima kako bi se bolje snašli s time. Posjetili smo i Kinoteku početkom studenoga, gdje smo gledali animirani film Mama Muu se vraća kući. Pomagao sam korisnicima u povratku kući, na način da sam ih otpratio do javnog prijevoza.  Jako sam zadovoljan s načinom moga volontiranja te se osjećam korisno i sretno.
