I have spent two and a half months living an incredible experience as part of the “Unstoppable 2025”project, collaborating at the Slave Raškaj Center, and it’s hard to believe how fast this time has passed. From the very first day, I felt a strong connection with the place, the kids, and the team, whose dedication and care made me feel welcome from the start.
Throughout these months, I took part in many activities that combined creativity, learning, and fun. We did arts and crafts and painting workshops, cooking sessions with the school’s chef, and gardening activities where we planted a small winter vegetable garden. I also had the opportunity to give a presentation about my country, creating a space to share cultures and traditions.

One of the most special moments of this journey was the on-arrival training, where I met other volunteers coming from all over Europe and volunteering in Croatia. What started as a few days of training quickly turned into beautiful friendships. Together we shared meaningful moments and unforgettable adventures, like climbing a mountain, visiting each other, and enjoying the Christmas Market together.

I truly believe that I have left a small footprint here. Together with the children at the school and the social workers, I helped create 300 Christmas postcards that will arrive in people’s homes filled with love and kindness. In addition, I made all the costumes for the Christmas show from scratch, using recycled materials.
These two and a half months have taught me much more than I ever imagined. I leave with a heart full of gratitude, having learned so much, surrounded by beautiful people, and carrying memories that will stay with me for a lifetime.
